Instructions
- Topping: Melt 2 1/2 tbsp margarine in the microwave. Stir in 2 tbsp sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.

- Stir in rice milk to form a soft dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough evenly over the apples.
- Drizzle the prepared topping over the dough.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
Hints & Tips
- Choose the right apples – Firm, slightly tart apples like Granny Smith or Braeburn hold their shape and balance the sweetness.
- Serve warm – This cobbler tastes best served hot or warm, ideally with dairy-free ice cream or whipped cream.
- Adjust sweetness – If your apples are very sweet, reduce the sugar slightly in the topping.
- Prevent soggy topping – Bake on the centre rack so the crust cooks evenly and stays crisp.
- Add extra spice – A pinch of nutmeg or allspice in the filling will enhance the warm, comforting flavour.
