
M and M Cookies Recipe
Soft, chewy, and packed with colourful candy crunch, these M and M Cookies are a fun treat for all ages. Perfect for lunchboxes, parties, or a sweet afternoon snack.

3 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
Pinch of Salt
1 pkt M & M’s
1 cup Margarine
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- Cream 1 cup margarine and 1 1/2 cups sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add 1 egg and 1 tsp vanilla essence, mixing well.
- Sift together 3 cups flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix to form a soft dough.
- Stir in half of a packet of M & M’s.
- Roll the dough into balls and place them on a greased or lined baking tray.
- Flatten each ball slightly and press 1 or 2 M & M’s on top.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Hints & Tips
- Chill the dough – Refrigerating the dough for 30 minutes before baking will help the cookies hold their shape.
- Don’t overbake – Remove the cookies when they are just golden for a soft, chewy texture.
- Mix up the candy – Try peanut M & M’s or other chocolate-coated sweets for a flavour twist.
- Even distribution – Save some M & M’s to press on top of the cookies so each one looks colourful and appealing.
- Store well – Keep in an airtight container for up to a week to maintain freshness.
