Yellow Rice Recipe

The spices in this dish gives it a delicious flavor. Change the spices and you have a completely different dish. Yellow rice goes well with anything.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 3 cups Water boiling
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Turmeric
  • 1/2 cup Raisins
  • 1 tbls Butter

Instructions

  • Rinse the rice.
  • Add turmeric, salt, and sugar to the boiling water.
  • Add rice and cook till nearly soft.
  • Put rice into a sieve, drain and add raisins.
  • Steam for 20 minutes or till rice is cook.
  •  Add butter and serve.
