This is a typical South African dish and enjoyed by young and old. The flavors go well together. Its usually served with yellow rice, chutney and bananas.

- 500 grams Mince
- 1 tbls Margarine
- 1 Onion
- 1 slice Bread
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Egg
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- Pepper to Taste
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1 tbls Lemon Juice
- 2 tbls Almonds Flaked
- 1/4 cup Raisins
- 1 1/2 tbls Chutney
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Soak the bread in 1/4 cup of milk.
Fry onion in oil or butter till light brown.
Add meat and fry till until juices have rendered
Squeeze the milk out of the bread and mash.
Add all the ingredients to meat except the egg and milk.
Put mixture into a ovenproof dish.
Beat egg and milk together and pour over meat.
Bake for 45 minutes or until egg has set.
Serve with yellow rice and chutney.
