Preheat oven to 180°C.
Line a 12 hole muffin pan with paper cases.
Cream margarine and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla essence.
Beat then add self-raising flour and milk.
Mix.
Place mixture in prepared holes.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Cool in tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack.
Roll out fondant icing.
Cut in rounds to fit on top of each cupcake.
For the ears cut marshmallows in half diagonally, then paint the cut side with pink food coloring.
Place the fondant rounds on top of each cupcake.

Cut a thin slice off the wide side of the ears so that you have a sticky surface.
Wet with a little water and stick onto the cupcake.
Now place the M&M in place for the nose, then the currents for the eyes.
