Rissole Pie Recipe

Rissoles have been an old favorite in my family. My Mom made them regularly but never in a pie like this recipe. This is simply delicious and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 600g Mince
  • 1/2 pkt Onion Soup
  • 1/4 cup Tomato Sauce
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1/4 tsp Mixed Herbs

Batter

  • 1 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch Salt
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Milk
  • 3 tbsp Melted Margarine

Instructions

Filling

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Grease a 24cm x 24cm ovenproof dish.
  • Mix the mince, soup powder, tomato sauce, egg, water and herbs together. 
  • Make rissoles and put into the ovenproof dish. 

Batter

  • Mix the dry ingredients together. 
  • Add the eggs, milk and margarine. 
  • Mix to a smooth batter. 
  • Pour the batter over the rissoles. 
  • Bake for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
