Brush a baking tray with margarine
Sift the dry ingredients together.
Add fruit.
Make a well in the center then add egg, margarine and milk mix with a spoon till it is combined.
Use your hand and mix till it comes together.
Turn out on a floured surface and knead till smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a large greased bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Put in a warm draught-free place to proof for 2 hour or until dough has double in size.
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Punch the dough down to its normal size.
Knead for 2-3 minutes.
Divide into 6 or 8 portions.
Shape into balls.
Place on a prepared baking tray.
Cover and let rise for 30-40 minutes.
