Cheese and Parsley Bread Recipe

This is such a quick and easy cheese and parsley bread. You can make it in no time flat. The texture is very light almost like a cake and it is simply delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Self-Raising Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Cheese grated
  • 2 tsp Parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 tbsp Water
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 tsp Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Mustard

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Sift the flour and salt together.
  • Rub in the margarine till it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Add the grated cheese and the parsley. 
  • Beat milk, water, egg, mustard and mayonnaise together. 
  • Add to the flour mixture. 
  • Mix well. 
  • Put the dough into a prepared 21 x 11 x 6.5 cm loaf tin. 
  • Level the top.
  • You can sprinkle some cheese on top if you wish.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes.
