Vegan Tea Bread Recipe

Try this delicious Vegan tea bread, you will love it!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Margarine
  • 1 cup Mixed Fruit
  • 1 cup Strong Tea
  • 1/2 cup Castor Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger
  • 2 cups Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Mixed Spice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Put the butter, mixed fruit, cold tea and sugar into a microwave dish.
  • Microwave till butter is melted. 
  • Cool.
  • You can also put it in a saucepan and melt it on the stove.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, salt and spices together.
  • Mix in the fruit mixture.
  • Mix well. 
  • Spoon mixture into a prepared loaf tin. 
  • Bake for 40 or until done.
  • Cool in tin for about 10 minutes.
